'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!'
Jeremiah 6:16-19 - 16 Thus says the LORD, "Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.' 17 "And I set watchmen over you, saying, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!' But they said, 'We will not listen.' 18 "Therefore hear, O nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. 19 "Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their plans, because they have not listened to My words, and as for My law, they have rejected it also."
America is rushing headlong down a path that will result in her destruction. In spite of repeated cries from Christians our political, economic, and social leaders are not listening. Can it be that they are not listening because they cannot hear the voice of our Great Shepherd calling us back from the precipice? The time has come for Christians to take a stand as the watchmen of old and to proclaim with a steadfast voice that“Our God reigns over the nations.” This will mean taking a stand against the myriad false teachings that have not only invaded the church but have in many cases completely overrun and captured the minds, hearts and souls of the unsuspecting. While Calvary Chapel of Lima will not agree with every statement found on the pages we have provided links for, we do believe these ministries to be faithful and true representatives of the “faith once for all handed down to the saints.” Therefore we exhort you to continue the good fight of contending for the faith.
